Dudes, I love these things. I’ve made a few for the kids’ rooms. I just upload them to Fedex Office and have them printed. It’s just over a buck for an 8×10 on heavy paper, and I don’t have to waste my ink. They are also done on the same day. Super handy. Check these out from Sprik Space.
Hack your light fixtures…spraypaint
Did I mention I’m stuck in a rental? That sucks as a DIY person because I can’t do exactly what I want. What I really can’t stand however are crappy gold light fixtures that seem to come standard. I ended up spraying the lame gold chain and the plate (or whatever that thing is that attaches to the ceiling) and added a shade and it looks 100 times better. I don’t have a before picture and apparently it’s so outdated that I can’t even find one online, but you can imagine – you know, builder gold and glass crap.
Here is the after. It cost about $4.00 in spray paint and $5.00 for the shade. Sweet.
The next thing I’m going to do is finish these DIY pendant lamps I found on crafty nest . I made the shade already but I still need to (make my husband) take down the ungodly gold fixture first and spray paint the chain.
